CONDITIONS FOR OPERATING STALLS
1. Goods offered for sale may be second hand, made by the stall holder, or of a
non commercial nature, goods purchased from commercial wholesalers which
are inferior to those that would normally be sold by retailers - such as seconds,
damaged goods, or redundant stock.
2. Stall holders MAY NOT sell: food (including fruit, jams etc.), beverages,
animals, livestock, poisonous products, prescription medications, cut flowers,
illegal or offensive items, mains powered electrical devices. Firearms,
ammunition, explosives, weapons, dangerous goods, or alcoholic liquor shall
not be sold or brought into the market enclosure. No Counterfeit or copied
goods permitted.
3. The Rotary Club of Bentleigh Moorabbin Central Inc. shall not be responsible
for the compliance by a stall holder with any By-law, Regulation, Act or
Statute.
4. The Rotary Club of Bentleigh Moorabbin Central Inc. accepts no responsibility
for any transaction entered into in the Market enclosure.
5. The Rotary Club of Bentleigh Moorabbin Central Inc. reserves the right to
decide on or arbitrate any dispute arising out of or in the course of the conduct
of the Market.

PAYMENT: Cash only, full amount, no credit provided. All pre-booked
stalls to be paid at time of booking. Stalls hired on the market day to be paid
before entering the market area. No refunds or discounts will be given.
RUBBISH & UNSOLD GOODS: Stall holders are required to keep and
leave their stall space and surrounds free from rubbish and litter at all times.
All rubbish and unsold goods must be taken away. Do not dispose of rubbish
in shop bins.
PARKING: Vehicles may be parked within the boundaries of booked stall space
but NOT in the stalls along the railway fence. Vehicles not parked in booked
stall spaces should be parked legally in surrounding designated parking areas.
No parking in vacant stalls.
CONDUCT: The Rotary Club wishes to provide a friendly, pleasant and safe
environment for the public to enjoy. Stall holders are therefore required to
observe acceptable standards of courtesy and behaviour towards the public,
other stall holders and Rotary Staff. Stall holders committing any offence
such as using indecent language, assault, theft, fraud, possession of stolen
goods, etc. may be reported to the police. Please note that the Rotary Club
reserves the right to refuse admission to, or eject any person from the market
without providing any reason.

space allocated. No items are to be placed in walk-ways. Un-authorised use
of “vacant” stalls is prohibited.
STALL ALLOCATION: The Rotary Club of Bentleigh Moorabbin Central
reserves the right to move the stall holder to a stall position other than the stall
number indicated on this ticket at any time and without giving any reason.
BOOKINGS: Stalls may be re-booked for following week at the discretion
of the Rotary Club. Casual stalls are not available for re-booking and are
made available to the public at the Main Gate at approx. 10 a.m.
LEAVE OF ABSENCE: Regular stall holders requiring “time off” are
required to lodge an application form (available at office or www.
bentleighmarket.org) the week before the absence and pay the stall fee for the
return date. Stalls are not transferable to another person.
NON ATTENDANCE: Stalls not occupied by 7.30 a.m. will be forfeited to
casuals requiring stalls. Regular stall holders Absent With Out Leave may
lose their status as Regulars. Consideration will be given to restoring their
status if the Market Leader is notified at the market by 9 a.m. or via email by

TRADERS IN SECOND-HAND GOODS: All people trading in second-
hand goods must now register with the Business Licensing Authority or risk

reserves the right to move the stall holder to a stall position other than the stall
number indicated on this ticket at any time and without giving any reason.
BOOKINGS: Stalls may be re-booked for following week at the discretion
of the Rotary Club. Casual stalls are not available for re-booking and are
made available to the public at the Main Gate at approx. 10 a.m.
LEAVE OF ABSENCE: Regular stall holders requiring “time off” are
required to lodge an application form (available at office or www.
bentleighmarket.org) the week before the absence and pay the stall fee for the
return date. Stalls are not transferable to another person.
NON ATTENDANCE: Stalls not occupied by 7.30 a.m. will be forfeited to
casuals requiring stalls. Regular stall holders Absent With Out Leave may
lose their status as Regulars. Consideration will be given to restoring their
status if the Market Leader is notified at the market by 9 a.m. or via email by
9 p.m. Monday.
TRADERS IN SECOND-HAND GOODS: All people trading in second-
hand goods must now register with the Business Licensing Authority or risk
a $11,234.00 fine. For free information brochure and registration form,

possessions.
WET WEATHER PROCEDURE
On wet days stall holders are still required to attend the market at the
commencement time or risk forfeiting of their stall. You are advised to
provide your own protection against minor weather changes. In the event
of constant rain or other severe conditions, a decision will be made by the
Rotary Club Market Leader, regarding cancellation of the stall holders
obligation to remain at the market. The decision will be made at 9 a.m.
1. If decision is made to continue, stall holders are requested to remain at
the market.
2. In the event of cancellation, stall tickets will be exchanged for one for
the following week only. Preference will be given to the same stall
position where possible, however in some cases casual stall
holders may be required to accept a different stall number. No cash
refunds or discounts will be given.
3. After cancellation some stall holders may wish to remain at the
market. In this event they will be required to pay to re-book
their stall for the following week and Rotary staff will remain in
attendance at the market.
4. Stall holders wishing to leave prior to official decision must pay to
re-book their stall for the following week.
Please understand that for the market to be successful, the public must be
able to rely on your consistent attendance at the market
  1. Goods offered for sale may be second hand, made by the stall holder, or of a non commercial nature, goods purchased from commercial wholesalers which are inferior to those that would normally be sold by retailers - such as seconds, damaged goods, or redundant stock.
  2. Stall holders MAY NOT sell: food (including fruit, jams etc.), beverages, animals, livestock, poisonous products, prescription medications, cut flowers, illegal or offensive items, mains powered electrical devices. Firearms, ammunition, explosives, weapons, dangerous goods, or alcoholic liquor shall not be sold or brought into the market enclosure. No Counterfeit or copied goods permitted.
  3. The Rotary Club of Bentleigh Moorabbin Central Inc. shall not be responsible for the compliance by a stall holder with any By-law, Regulation, Act or Statute.
  4. The Rotary Club of Bentleigh Moorabbin Central Inc. accepts no responsibility for any transaction entered into in the Market enclosure.
  5. The Rotary Club of Bentleigh Moorabbin Central Inc. reserves the right to decide on or arbitrate any dispute arising out of or in the course of the conduct of the Market.
  6. The Rotary Club of Bentleigh Moorabbin Central Inc. reserves the right to refuse admission to the Market to any person without giving any reason for the same and to eject or cause to be ejected any person and/or his/her goods and chattels without giving any reason for the same.
  7. The Rotary Club of Bentleigh Moorabbin Central Inc. accepts no liability for the loss or damage of any kind suffered by any person who enters the Market area and all persons who enter the Market area do so at their own risk.
  8. The Rotary Club of Bentleigh Moorabbin Central Inc. accepts no liability for the loss or damage to any property of the stall holders including motor vehicles, contents of motor vehicles or any other goods or articles of the stall holders howsoever such loss or damage may occur.
  9. The stall holder agrees to indemnify the Rotary Club of Bentleigh Moorabbin Central Inc. against all claims for damages or injury to the property or person of any persons in respect of any claim by any such person arising out of negligence on the part of the stall holder or his agents or servants.
